Reinhard Schmidt
Managing Director, EMEA
Reinhard Schmidt is Managing Director Europe, Middle East and
Africa for OFS. In this capacity, he has responsibility for all
sales, marketing, and operations for OFS' Optical Fiber Cable, Connectivity, and FTTx product lines in the EMEA region.
With more than 15 years experience in the telecommunications
industry, Mr. Schmidt has significant international experience
managing operations, global sourcing and sales. Prior to his
appointment as Managing Director, Mr. Schmidt was Executive Sales
Director for EMEA.
His previous responsibilities with Lucent and AT&T include
material engineering, technical sales support and product
management. Earlier in his career, while with Hoechst AG in
Germany, Mr. Schmidt led production for plastic optical fibers.
Mr. Schmidt holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and Business
Administration. He is also a member of the Officers Board of
German Kabelfachverband and Europacable.
He is married with one child and lives in the area of
Augsburg/Bavaria.
