Zero Water Peak Single-Mode Fiber

OFS offers industry-leading single-mode fibers for high bandwidth, long distance transmission in campus, access, metro and Fiber-to-the-Home applications. For peak performance now and maximum upgrade capability for the future, our patented AllWave Zero Water Peak (ZWP) Single-Mode Fiber provides 50 percent more usable bandwidth, while the newly introduced AllWave FLEX ZWP fiber offers the same performance plus benchmark bending performance for demanding access applications. Thanks to many innovative and patented designs and manufacturing methods, OFS single-mode fibers offer very low and stable attenuation and polarization mode dispersion (PMD), as well as tight geometry tolerances for low-loss connections and splices.

AllWave® Fiber

OFS' AllWave® Zero Water Peak (ZWP) Single-Mode Fiber is the industry's first full-spectrum fiber designed for optical transmission systems operating over the entire wavelength range from 1260 nm to 1625 nm. Our standard single-mode fiber, AllWave® ZWP Fiber offers customers industry-leading performance specifications, superior reliability, and unsurpassed quality. AllWave ZWP fiber sets the benchmark and maintains leadership with specifications that are fully compliant with ITU-T G.652 standards.

AllWave® FLEX ZWP Single-Mode Fiber

AllWave® FLEX Fiber is an ITU-T G.657.A bend-optimized single-mode design fully compatible with the installed base of G.652.D fiber, targeting indoor applications and bend-challenged outside plant (OSP) applications with bend radii down to 10 mm. It provides low macrobend and microbend loss and seamless splicing through its superior PMD and Zero Water Peak (ZWP) performance.

AllWave® FLEX + ZWP Single-Mode Fiber

AllWave FLEX+ Fiber is the first ZWP fiber that meets and exceeds both ITU-T G.657.A2 and G.652.D specifications. This fiber offers enhanced bend performance down to 7.5 mm bend radii, is ideally suited for in-building and connectivity applications, and provides full compatibility and seamless splicing with the installed base of conventional G.652.D single-mode fibers. It is an excellent choice for Central Offices, multiple dwelling unit (MDU) backbone cabling, FTTH, OSP cabinets, fiber to the cell site, enterprise networks, or any application where very small bend diameters may be encountered.

AllWave® FLEX and AllWave FLEX+ 200 µm Fibers

OFS offers its AllWave® FLEX and AllWave FLEX+ Bend-Optimized Single-Mode Fiber with a 200 µm coating for use in optical cables. The fibers can be used in high fiber count cables and in microcables with smaller diameters. The fiber’s bend-optimized design enables tight, low loss bends and the coating meets standard fiber strength and dynamic fatigue characteristics to help assure long-term reliability. These fibers require 56 percent less area than conventional 250 µm coated fiber, enabling smaller diameter cables with a greater number of fibers per tube.
