A qualified, safety conscientious Maintenance Technician will:
Install, prove-in, troubleshoot, calibrate, modify, maintain, inspect and repair all types of novel, prototype, experimental and conventional electrical and electronic manufacturing, testing and control equipment and meters and micro, mini, medium and large scale computer systems, computer terminals, printers, disc drives or tape drives that are associated with on-site telecommunications systems
Modify and/or assemble modular software test programs to exercise and test telecommunications computer systems as a functional unit
Equipment is characterized as involving a multiplicity of circuitry and interdependent operating features and extremely critical calibration requirements. Includes the development of troubleshooting and special servicing techniques in the absence of complete procedural information and performing necessary associated and related duties
Independently plan work assignments and perform duties with a minimum of direct supervision
Collaborate with functional personnel in own and other organizations to resolve problems and recommend solutions based on trades knowledge
Candidate must be able to follow work safety policies and procedures
Must have the ability to climb ladders and work at high elevations
Must have strong written and oral communication skills
Must be eager to learn
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
Must have the ability to work overtime, nights and some weekends
Candidate must be able to interact directly with engineering and supervisory personnel
Must be proficient in the use of email communication
Microsoft Office software (primarily Excel)
Valid Georgia Driver’s License
Candidate must also have comprehensive knowledge and experience:
Completion of an accredited trades training course or equivalent knowledge and skill acquired by means of practical experience
Experience with Yaskawa, Berkeley and Allen Bradley controls; AC & DC low voltage systems
Must be able and willing to work any shift and/or work schedule
